Cave description: The entrance is a few hundred meters from Xa He Dong cave. The cave develops inside grey Lower Permian limestone with a small opening facing East, partly obstructed by collapse boulders, which leads to a down-sloping chamber with the bottom covered by large limestone blocks. A short slope to the left ends in a small room. Laterally, at the bottom of the slope, a very steep downhill slide connects to a chamber followed by, after few meters, a shaft-chimney which we did not climb. The cave was used in the past as a burial place: we observed fragments of decorated pottery, covered with calcite, on the surface of the floor.

The authors report the results of the first Italian expedition with a related Italian - Chinese program. They visited a region where foreigners are not ususally admitted and undertook research in an area previously visited by French expeditions. Due to bad weather some of the caves were only partially explored and mapped. During the explorations some important archaeological finds were studied as well as biospeleological and other scientific research (4 photos, 1 area map, 4 surveys, 1 figure). (PM).
