Description

岗岔溶洞 (Gangcha Cave) is a karst cave which is used as a show cave. Gangcha Cave, named after the village, is a karst cave with numerous speleothems including cave lakes with calcite crystals. It is also named 处滴水岩洞 (Dripping Rock Cave), probably a Chinese version of dripstone cave. Around the Gangcha administrative village is a karst area with numerous caves.

The nearby cave 是喜拉乃康大神洞 (The Great Cave of Hiranakorn) is home to a Tibetan Buddhist temple which was built in 1241 A.D. It contains statues of eighteen Arhats and Princess Gesar's pearl hair. According to legend this place was visited by two Chinese generals who cressed the valley with their army. It is used by monks for meditation until today and is a popular tourist destination.
