Description 1

Main

The low, wide entrance at the base of a muddy doline slopes down to an antechamber, with a short blind passage to the left. Straight on down the slope it lowers to a crawl for a couple of body lengths, soon emerging in a high, wide boulder-floored passage sloping up to the right and down to the left. The upward branch soon ends at the base of a surface shaft, with a light sprinkling of trash. Downslope the passage continues in fine style, around 10m wide and 5m high.

After a short distance a stream comes in from the right; see below for a a description of the upstream passage. The main passage continues, growing in size, to a corner where a canyon (unexplored) [QM B] comes in from the right next to a huge pile of breakdown; the passage is around 25m wide and at least 20m high at this point. Beyond here the passage swings to the left and becomes higher and narrower, to a point where the stream flows into a narrow rift which can be followed at two levels. The stream level degenerates to a damp crawl and the water flows into an impassable gravel choke. Traversing higher up leads to daylight at a view into a doline entrance with a waterfall coming in from the surface, but the connection climb probably needs some rigging [QM B].

Upstream

The stream comes from a gently sloping passage around 5m wide and high. After 50m or so a smaller inlet comes in from the left (not pushed) [QM B]. Continuing up the main stream leads to a junction, where the stream comes in from a small passage on the left with a noxious smell [QM B] and flows past a decaying pig in a bag; on the right is a higher, narrower passage where you climb up over a large floor block. There is a short oxbow high on the right, which joins back in a few metres further on. Climbing up and over a wall (presumably artificial) of blocks emerges in an oval chamber with daylight coming in from both left and right. Up to the right is the trash-strewn base of a surface pit. To the left is another, more vegetated surface doline, with passages leading off to either side just before the dripline. The right-hand passage is walking-size to a climb up, at which point it takes a right-angle bend to the right and slopes down to reach a small pit [QM B]. There appears to be a passage continuing across from the pit and perhaps a second pit beyond that. The left-hand passage continues to a 2m climb down to the base of a dark drippy aven.
