Shandong province is a temperate karst region in northern China, there are more than 340 known caves; only four caves are longer than 0,5 km. The paper discusses the characteristics of the size, form, speleothem development, and genetic types of the caves and describes 3 typical caves in detail. Cambrian- Ordovician carbonate rocks. (RB).
