Entrance Pitches

From the entrance ,the passage slowly increases in size for the first 60m, from 4m by 5m (height by width) to 8m by 5m, where the first pitch is encountered. Above the pitch to the left is a 5m sloping climb to a horizontal question mark. [QM A] The pitch is split into a sloping section foloowed by a free hang into a large and dry waterfall plunge pool. The passage continues to increase in hieght as it heads towards the second pitch. After 50m a small drop 5m in encountered, which if by-passable on the left by a slippy traverse (a difficult direct overhanging assent can be made on the return.) After another 50m the second pitch s reaches. From the bottom of the second pitch the passage splits into up to 3 parts giving a choice of route, all of which contain a few short climbs. 20m before the third pitch two routes lead to a smaller passage 3m square that slowly widens and lowers, split by a collection of pillers, this ends in a pitch that probably overlooks the landing pointof the third pitch. The third pitch slopes at about forty five degrees for the first half and then drops to land after a 2m step 30m and a couple of climbs before the fourth pitch. [QM A]
