Data of CO2 measurements are reported. The relationships of the CO2 levels to the conditions of cave ventilation, the type of cave sediment and moisture content, the climatic zone and seasonal changes of CO2 are discussed. Air pollution of a show cave is illustrated by observations of CO2 levels from Yaolin cave, Zhejiang province. (RB)Proceedings XI Intern. Congress of Speleology, 2nd-8th August 1993, Beijing 1993: 215-216 (3 tab.) (chines. summ.).
Data on additional 33 well exploited show caves are presented. There are over 200 show caves in China, including 41 major show caves as of 1986 (see: Communications 9th Intern. Congress of Speleology Vol.2: 225-228). (RB).
