4.4. Diao Dong (length: 704 m; depth: -45 m)

Diao Dong Cave is opened via 18 m deep and 20 × 5 m wide vertical shaft with a waterfall on its wall. At the bottom, a cave passage (up to 5 × 10 m in size) starts down- and upstream, the tributary part ends in a small dome and not surveyed step with a waterfall. The “main” downstream passage is larger reaching approximately 15 × 20 m in a cross-section. After an approximately 20 m deep rock step, the passage changes into a relatively narrow but up to 40 m high narrow space with small cascades. This part was named as the Turbines because of the characteristic noise of the present waterfalls.
