Proceedings XI Intern. Congress of Speleology, 2nd-8th August 1993, Beijing 1993: 45-48 (4 fig.) (chines. summ.).
Zhijin cave, 21 km NE of Zhijin, Guizhou province, consists of 5 major passages forming a network. The speleogenetic environment and the paleokarst climatic environment are examined, and a history of speleogenetic evolution is presented, according to the analyses from fossil drainage changes, cave sediments, C and O and U-series datings. This cave develops in Triassic limestones, is 4,21 km long / -242 m deep and works as show- cave. (RB).Proceedings XI Intern. Congress of Speleology, 2nd-8th August 1993, Beijing 1993: 114-115 (2 fig.) (chines. summ.)
The organic influences on speleothem formation are reviewed. Examples from Zhijin cave and its algae. (RB)Proceedings XI Intern. Congress of Speleology, 2nd-8th August 1993, Beijing 1993: 116-117 (8 phot.) (chines. summ.).
88 species of algae have been identified and the primary depositional macro-forms of blue-green algae described. (RB).Proceedings XI Intern. Congress of Speleology, 2nd-8th August 1993, Beijing 1993: 158-160 (1 fig., 3 tab.) (chines. summ.).
Results from 26 monitoring stations for air temperature, humidity, and CO2. (RB).Carsologia sinica, Vol.12 no.4, dec. 1993: 409-417 (chines.; engl. summ.) (3 tab., 5 figs.).
The length of Zhijin cave (Daji cave) is 4,215km. The climatic environment and CO2 of air in this cave are studied and depicted; the sanitary standard of CO2 content in the air is suggested; the improving measures for tourism are presented. Guizhou. (RB).Carsologia sinica, Vol.13 No.3 / Sept. 1994: 256-260 (1 tab., 2 fig.) (chinese; engl. summ.).
By sporopollen analysis and 14C dating it is reflected that the paleovegetation and paleoclimate in the cave area (Guizhou) during the last 6710 years belong to the northern subtropical vegetation and climate. (RB).Carsologia sinica, Vol.13 No.3 / Sept. 1994: 281-292 (1 tab., 7 fig.) (chinese summ.).
The paper looks at the genetic relationship between karst development and caves formation and focuses on the hydraulic effects of karst landscapes in response to the neotectonic uplift and the river incision in the Zhijin cave area, Guizhou. Examining geological control on the passage of the Zhijin cave, a well- known tourist cave, and variations of O and C stable isotopes from the speleothem, a growth model for the karst and caves in the area is presented.
